Wellbeing – physical and mental health – is at the heart of Steve’s practice and teaching.
His specialisation is yoga and related practices– movement, breathwork, meditation and relaxation, which he learned in his first formal training with swamis more than 20 years ago. He teaches these and a range of coping skills and strategies in workshops, classes and private sessions.
Steve was running marathons when he discovered yoga and was sold on the physical benefits of regular practice– strength, stability, flexibility and recovery. In a journey that began with strong practices like Ashtanga yoga Steve has embraced many forms and has access to a wide range of techniques meet the needs of groups and individuals.
During the Covid pandemic Steve developed an interest in traditional Chinese medicine and the movement practice QiGong. With its blend of breathing and gentle movement and focus on healing energy it has much in common with Yoga, and today Steve combines the two in his Energy Flow classes and workshops.
